Virginia Lim
Virginia Lim has served as Chief Content Officer at Mediacorp since July 2021. She leads the company’s content production strategy, oversees production facilities and resources, and manages the creation, distribution and syndication of content worldwide. In her role, she supports Mediacorp’s efforts to strengthen its creative capabilities, expand key partnerships and build a stronger international presence, while developing original content that reflects diverse perspectives and engages audiences globally.
With over 27 years in the media industry, Virginia has a deep understanding of how content, audience preferences, and platforms have evolved. Her experience across various content and strategic roles shapes her decisions to balance creative vision with market relevance.
Before joining Mediacorp, Virginia was Chief Content Officer at Viu, where she oversaw content strategy, original productions and content investments across Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and South Africa.
Prior to Viu, Virginia spent 11 years at Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia, holding leadership roles across business strategy, regional operations, content and programming, commercial and marketing functions for key brands including AXN, ONE, GEM and Animax. She later rose to Senior Vice President and General Manager to run the networks business across Asia. During her tenure, she drove business growth across multiple markets, strengthened the network’s regional scale and impact, and delivered major franchise successes such as Asia’s Got Talent and The Amazing Race Asia.
Virginia began her career as a television producer with the Television Corporation of Singapore before moving to StarHub in 1998, where she spent a decade shaping the company’s content strategy, acquisitions, production and interactive TV.
