Jeff Han
Jeff Han is Vice President of Tencent Online Video, overseeing the strategic direction of Tencent Sports and the global operations of Tencent Video, including its international platform, WeTV. His responsibilities span content strategy, ecosystem development, and overseas market expansion, supported by a deep understanding of the global internet and entertainment sectors.
Since joining Tencent in 2012, Han has strengthened the company’s media influence by leading the Online Media Business Group’s marketing team and elevating brand value among advertisers and users. He has driven major content acquisitions and forged long-term partnerships with top studios such as HBO and Warner Bros., significantly enriching Tencent Video’s premium content library.
After Tencent Penguin Pictures was founded in 2015, Han led initiatives in original content production, advancing IP incubation and adapting popular IPs into successful film and television projects. He also cultivated strong collaborations with leading production companies including Daylight Entertainment, Linmon Media, and New Classics Media.
Han has continued to champion innovation and premium content, overseeing popular variety shows and documentaries that reinforce Tencent Video’s industry leadership. Since 2019, he has guided WeTV’s rapid expansion across Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea through localized productions and new business models. Before Tencent, Han held senior roles at Yahoo! Asia-Pacific, PepsiCo, GlaxoSmithKline, and Unilever, and holds a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.
