Gursimran Datla is a filmmaker and producer operating between India and Canada. He is the Head of BetterHalf Films, a production company whose projects have achieved recognition and screenings at numerous international film festivals.

A postgraduate in Advanced Filmmaking, Gursimran further refined his expertise through the National Screen Institute's EAVE Producers Program. His development work spans key creative hubs, including Ontario, Alberta, Delhi, and Mumbai. His commitment to professional development is underscored by his participation in prestigious industry labs, such as the Reykjavik Film Festival's Talent Lab, the BANFF-NETFLIX DOV program, the Export Training Asia Pacific (ETAP) program, and the Whistler Film Festival's Producer's Lab.

BetterHalf Films is currently in preparation for the production of "Masala Love," a comedy series centered on an Asian restaurant in Toronto's Little India. The project received successful funding from Ontario and recently received exposure through a screening at the MOSAIC International Film Festival in Ontario, Canada.

Gursimran is also developing "Rana & Bitta," which is positioned as India’s first detective duo thriller series. The project was selected as a finalist pitch in the highly competitive Content Canada Co-Pro pitch competition.
