Festival Director
Earth In Focus
Daphne Ong
Daphne Ong is the Festival Director of Earth In Focus: Singapore Nature Film Festival, a platform that brings together the power of film and photography to reshape how natural history is experienced and appreciated. With a Master’s in Conservation and Biodiversity, she combines scientific understanding with creative storytelling to curate a festival that both educates and inspires.
After launching the inaugural edition in 2024, Daphne has led the festival into its second run with remarkable global momentum —drawing participation from over 35 countries and uniting filmmakers, photographers, researchers, and audiences from around the world. The festival now features a robust programme spanning film screenings, a competitive international photography exhibition, panel discussions, and nature-based activities across Singapore.
Beyond Earth In Focus, Daphne is the Founder and Managing Partner of Wild Space, an organisation driving conservation impact through experiential journeys. She also serves on the Board of the Riding for the Disabled Association and volunteers with the Singapore Wildcat Action Group.
