Angie Chai is the Chairman and CEO of Mission International and one of Asia’s most influential producers, with more than three decades of experience in entertainment and talent development. Widely known as the “Godmother of Idol Dramas,” she has played a defining role in shaping contemporary Asian television, driving hit projects that resonate across generations and regions.

Throughout her career, Angie has built a strong reputation for discovering talent and nurturing creative teams. Her landmark works include the iconic Meteor Garden, which reshaped the idol drama genre across Asia, and the box office success You Are the Apple of My Eye. These titles cemented her status as someone with a sharp instinct for stories that connect deeply with audiences.

Her achievements have been recognised by numerous industry honours, including Asian Star of 2003 by Bloomberg Businessweek, Best Producer at the 2012 Domestic TV Series Ceremony, and recognition among the Top 10 Highlights on both sides of the strait.
