Joey Jia is the founder and CEO of Crazy Maple Studio, the mobile entertainment company behind hit platforms like Chapters, MyFiction, and the viral short-form vertical app ReelShort. He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering and has a strong background in telecommunications. Joey made a bold transition from the tech world into the creative realm of storytelling, blending technical expertise with a passion for entertainment. 

Driven by the belief that “great stories are timeless, but the way we consume them is evolving”, Joey founded Crazy Maple Studio in a California public library. What started as a small, self-funded team has since grown into a global company with millions of users and thousands of authors. His mission is clear: to democratise storytelling by empowering writers, readers, and creators through the power of technology and entertainment. 

Under his leadership, Crazy Maple Studio has become a platform for emerging voices and creative innovation. Joey’s approach blends data-driven insights with community-building, fostering a unique publishing ecosystem where authors are supported, stories are celebrated, and audiences remain at the heart of the experience.
