The 19th edition of Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) ended on a strong note with the biggest-ever representation from the international content industry, with more than 5,600 delegates from 58 countries and regions across the globe who converged on the market floor, seeking opportunities to buy, sell, co-produce and distribute content.
Close to 770 exhibiting companies, including key Asian brands and major international studios from around the world showcased their latest programming and content.
“ATF was a very productive content market for content distributors,” said Wirata Laksanasopin, Licensing Manager at Workpoint Group. “It gave a lot of opportunity to meet new and existing clients across Asia, and this year, we saw more and more companies joining, so there were quite a lot of new faces.”
According to Wirata, ATF 2018 enhanced their exposure and image as a strong brand in the Asian market.
“It facilitated us in concluding deals with clients. This year alone, we concluded a deal for a family entertainment show, ‘Super 10’ with RTV from Indonesia, extended the singing game show format ‘Mic On Debt Off’ to a total of 310 episodes with Indosiar from Indonesia, and 13 episodes with Astro from Malaysia, in addition to extending the paranormal reality format ‘Gang of Ghosts’ to a total of 104 episodes with ANTV from Indonesia.”
Wirata added that from ATF 2018 alone, Workpoint Group also had other potential deals with new clients, which will be discussed and confirmed at a later time.
