Alon Shtruzman, Chief Executive Officer of Keshet International (KI), is charged with running the Group’s international production and distribution operations and expanding its footprint into new territories.

Following his appointment in 2012 by Avi Nir, Alon has guided KI to become a leading global content producer and distributor. Under his stewardship, KI has enjoyed a period of rapid organic growth, expanding globally to include seven local production and distribution hubs in addition to its Tel Aviv HQ – Keshet UK, Tresor in Germany, Keshet Asia in Hong Kong, Keshet India, as well as Keshet Films and Keshet Studios in the US.  During his tenure, KI has acquired the German production company Tresor TV in 2017, and recently bought a majority stake in the UK production company incubator Greenbird Media, in addition to launching a $55M international content fund.

Known for its rich slate of quality content, KI is now a top-10 distribution business on par with companies many times larger, distributing finished tape content in over 200 countries, while ranking among the top-five exporters of formats globally, and fourth in Asia. Keshet Studios has grown to become a leading independent supplier to the US television networks, with Alon working as Executive Producer on NBC’s The Brave (in association with Universal Television) and CBS’ The Wisdom of the Crowd (in association with CBS Television Studios and Universal Television).

With a boutique approach, KI has amassed a growing portfolio of innovative scripted and non-scripted content. Recent highlights include the 2018 Cannes Series’ winning drama and ratings smash, When Heroes Fly; successful talent competition Rising Star; gripping espionage drama Prisoners of War, upon which the prime time Emmy® winner Homeland was based; as well as the international Emmy® Award-winning ‘buddy comedy’ Traffic Light and family drama The A Word.

Shtruzman is a seasoned media executive and one of the founders of Israel’s multi-channel industry. He began his career at Israel’s Cable Programming (ICP) consortium, held a number of increasingly senior positions at various independent channels in Israel, before returning to ICP as Managing Director, where he merge the company into the newly unified national cable provider, HOT. There, he launched one of the world’s first VOD services and commissioned a large volume of scripted projects, including the program which became HBO’s In Treatment, the first Israeli scripted format to sell into the US. In 2007, Shtruzman was invited to join Fox International Channels and relocated to Europe before becoming COO and President of Playcast in London – the position he held prior to his current role.
Shtruzman was featured in Variety’s Dealmakers Impact Report for his contribution to the international expansion of Keshet International. He was also named in Realscreen’s Trailblazer’s collection which honors the television industry’s most inspirational risk takers.
