Founded in 2021, Fremantle Documentaries was set up by Mandy Chang to create and support a slate of world-class documentaries and high-end series globally. Mandy previously ran the BBC’s flagship international documentary strand Storyville commissioning and overseeing many acclaimed and award-winning feature documentaries and series. Before that she was herself a filmmaker. Her films have won Emmys, Griersons, a Rose D’Or and many other awards. At Fremantle Documentaries Mandy created a new production label, Undeniable, to work with the industry’s best talent and focus on exceptional storytelling with a commitment to creative excellence. 

Mandy and her team are building an exciting slate of films and series with some of the most talented filmmakers in the world. In the US they are working with Chris Smith (Fyre, American Movie, 100 Foot Wave and Snr) on an exciting film about the band Devo, Penny Lane (Listening to Kenny G, Hail Satan) on a series about the Mrs America pageant and with Jenny Carchman (The Fourth Estate, Gossip) and Allyson Luchak (The Staircase, Trial 4) on a Silicon Valley meets true crime thriller. In the UK and Europe, they are working with Louise Osmond (Dark Horse, Deep Water), Signe Byrge (Flee, President, The Act of Killing). Ursula McFarlane (Untouchable, Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me) is directing the Ruth Wilson hybrid feature documentary.
