Monty Tiwa is an Indonesian film director, screenwriter, and editor with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He graduated from University of Kansas, USA and started his debut as a screenwriter for the movie, “Andai Dia Tahu” (2002). Following his debut, Monty actively wrote for movies like “Biarkan Bintang Menari” (2003), “Vina Bilang Cinta” (2005), “9 Naga” (2006), and “Mendadak Dangdut” (2006). In 2006 his work “Denias, Senandung di atas Awan” won the best original screenplay at the FFI awards. After his success as a screenwriter, Monty made his directorial debut in 2007 for “Maaf, Saya Menghamili Istri Anda”. In his prolific career, Monty has directed over 35 movies and wrote more than 46 movies. In addition, Monty also directed several hit shows like “My Lecturer My Husband”, “I Love You Silly”, and “Virgin The Series”.
