Fenton Bailey is the co-founder of award-winning, LA-based media company, World of Wonder, and has been at the forefront of shaping popular culture for over 30 years. Together with his business partner, Randy Barbato, they have produced and directed pioneering LQBTQ+ scripted and documentary content across television, film, and digital platforms; earning 29 Emmys, inspiring 2 Oscars, creating global network WOW Presents Plus across 190 territories, and bringing drag culture to the world stage via RuPaul’s Drag Race and DragCon.

Fenton and Randy have been profiled in Variety’s Reality TV Impact Report. Honours for their trailblazing work include the IDA Pioneer Award, Realscreen’s Global 100 list, and the OUT 100. Most recently, World of Wonder was ranked #2 among film and TV powerhouses in Fast Company’s World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies.

Fenton is probably best known for co-creating the hit and global phenomenon, RuPaul’s Drag Race (Vh1), which has won a record-breaking 24 Emmy® awards. The series is one of the most decorated shows on television and its format is one of the most successful international television franchises in the world, with international versions including Thailand, Chile, Canada, Holland, the UK, Spain, Australia and New Zealand, France, the Philippines, Italy, and Sweden and Belgium which are both coming soon. Other television credits include Million Dollar Listings (Bravo), Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce (Fuse), Dancing Queen (Netflix), Island Hunters (HGTV), and Backyard Envy (Bravo).

Film and documentary credits include The Eyes of Tammy Faye (the inspiration for the Oscar-winning film of the same name), Mapplethorpe: Look at The Pictures, Inside Deep Throat, Menendez: Blood Brothers, LIBERTY: Mother of Exiles (HBO), STONEWALL Out Loud (Google/NPR StoryCorps) and three Emmy® award-winning films including: Out of Iraq, Party Monster and The Last Beekeeper. 

The company has also created its owned-and-operated streaming service, WOW Presents Plus, which features World of Wonder-produced content including Painted with Raven, Werq The World and UNHhhh, and operates in over 190 territories, as well as YouTube channel WOWPresents, music label World of Wonder Records, WOW Podcast Network, and the world’s largest drag culture convention, RuPaul’s DragCon.
