
Nick Coffman is an Executive in the Motion Picture Business Affairs department at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Based in Los Angeles, Coffman provides dealmaking expertise across CAA’s Motion Picture and intellectual property businesses, advising a broad range of clients, including Daniel Craig, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Harry Styles. His work spans deals for actors, directors, producers, and writers, as well as the optioning of literary properties, podcasts, video games, and other IP for adaptation across film, television, and emerging media platforms. He also negotiates publishing deals for authors.
In addition to his transactional work, Coffman leads CAA’s AI Legal Group, advising clients on the evolving legal, creative, and commercial implications of artificial intelligence. He works closely with CAA’s strategic development team on client protection initiatives, including The CAA Vault, and with senior executives across the agency to help clients navigate regulatory frameworks, protect intellectual property, and strategically position themselves as AI continues to reshape the entertainment business.
