Chan Pui Yin is an innovative producer with over 25 years of experience in all aspects of video production. She is a visionary creator, storyteller, and business operations manager with demonstrated ability to take an idea from concept to delivery to produce entertaining and inspiring pieces. She is collaborative in working closely with strategic and creative teams to develop and produce quality content and has strong expertise in preproduction logistics, planning, production, and distribution.
Since 2017, as Director of Production and Distribution in G.H.Y Culture & Media (GHY), Pui Yin is responsible for overseeing the development and management of content production of the Group in the S.E.A. region. Prior to joining GHY, Pui Yin was previously a producer with SIMF Management from 2011 to 2017 and Assistant Vice President at MediaCorp Raintree Pictures from 2000 to 2008 and was responsible for the financing, development, production, and distribution of movies.
She is the producer of Singapore box-office hits I Not Stupid (2002), I Not Stupid Too (2006), Homerun (Best New Performer, Golden Horse Awards 2003), The Maid (2005), 881 (2007), Homecoming (2011) and Taxi! Taxi! (2013). Her involvement in overseas movie collaborations include The Eye (2002), The Eye 2 (2004), Turn Left, Turn Right (2003), Infernal Affairs 2 (2003), The Home Song Stories (Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Golden Horse Awards 2007), Painted Skin (2008), among others.
In GHY, her recent productions include the 45-episode The Little Nyonya (2020), which topped the CCTV ratings charts for a straight 14 days when it was aired in June-July 2020, and iQiyi’s first Southeast Asian Original series The Ferryman – Legends of Nanyang (2021). In the pipeline, she will be producing another three series – Sisterhood, Nanyang Transport Volunteers, Contenders – for the Group from 2021 to 2022.
